Youth Fighting 4 Justice the TRUE way

With a rise in crime, hate, and tragedies in the world, we cannot leave it up to the adults to fix and fight for everything. At some point in time, we must turn to the youth, the next generation of adults, to make a change and pave the way for what life will be like for them, their peers, their families, and their community. What’s the point in waiting? That time starts now.
As we know, TRUE Skool is all about advocating through the arts and being loud about what they stand for. With our two leaders being people of color and also having a woman leading us, we are by default defying the norms and fighting against society. The adults in the space set an example by never getting small and never backing down. They pour the same energy into the youth here to remind them of the importance of standing your ground each time without fail.
We want to show the world that we belong here, that just because we are young doesn’t mean we don't know anything, and that our rights are equally as important as the next person regardless of age. With every new generation, there are marks and new impacts left from the old one.
This summer, 6 of our ceo interns came together and formed a group with the title of Youth Fighting 4 Justice (YF4J). Their goal is to be a voice anyone can turn to and put trust in them to help advocate for their rights. The team did various things and had many successes, pivots, questions, and patience.
Our original plan had been to interview Alder-people around the city of Milwaukee then make T-shirt designs for a few of them based on their answers. Sadly, there had been a clash in schedules and timing on both sides. Our pivot was to begin working on a podcast speaking about issues in our city.

We are in the early stages of creating our YF4J Workshop that’ll take place October 7th 2026 with the Wisconsin Civic Power Table.
More details will be relayed as we get deeper in planning and finalizing.
