TRUE Skool Block Party

TRUE Skool will host their Block Party on July 27, 2019 LIVE at the Marcus Performing Arts Center 11am-5pm. This annual arts event kicks off 'TRUE Skool’s TRIO of Engagement' which celebrates the stories and connections of Milwaukee Hip Hop culture and public art.
This festival event also presents the work of youth who have participated in TRUE Skool’s programs alongside the works of Milwaukee’s leading creatives and veteran live performers.
This year attendees will be more than pleased with the special guest line up of talent including Aja Black of The Reminders out of Denver Colorado, Cita Che love, muralist from Washington DC and BGirl, Rokafella Garcia, all collaborating with TRUE Skool through an art award from The Joyce Foundation.
Other participating sponsors include Grime Official & Brew City Towing.
Live at Peck Pavilion is a series that brings action outside to the beautiful Peck Pavilion alongside the Milwaukee River on the Marcus Performing Arts Center grounds.
The focus of the series is to bring activity to the outdoor spaces of the Marcus Center grounds with performances that are engaging, intriguing and world-class.
Sazama's River’s Edge Patio will be open for all performances with food and beverages available for purchase from Sazama’s Fine Catering.
