We have been working hard to make this a reality, this is HUGE WIN for Milwaukee! Thanks to everyone who helped pull it together!
As part of our upcoming ten week Spring TRUE Skool 'Designed Awareness' program, TRUE Skool and MIAD have strategically selected additional community partners, including Milwaukee Water Commons, Harbor District and Hanson Dodge. This accelerator project will culminate with simultaneous projections and installations of student work at various local venues, and may include a short film declaring the project purpose, documentation of the design process, and youth interviews.
TRUE Skool has long worked with MIAD student service learners, now through its Pre-College and Future Designers programs, MIAD staff and student interns will enrich the transformational experience, educational opportunities and guidance for local youth and families we serve.
This official collaboration is an awesome opportunity to further ignite and support the creative explorations of young people in our city and foster their awareness and contribution to issues that have an impact on the community they are a part of and share with it others!
