At TRUE Skool on Thursday May 15th participants will have access to New York City breakdancing icon, Ana “Rokafella” Garcia, notable Washington, D.C. muralist, Cita Sadeli (CHELOVE), and Colorado-based MC, Aja Black. Following the 4pm - 6pm public ‘meet and greet’ and live "Community Listening Session" podcast interview, the visiting teaching artists will break out into workshops where they will mentor young TRUE Skool artists and aspiring performers as they develop new artworks, music and dance routines. All three artists will return to Milwaukee not only as headline performers but also to showcase their collaborative creations at TRUE Skool’s annual city-wide block party on July 27th, 2019 at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
