The Joyce Foundation and TRUE Skool are pleased to announce their partnership on the third Midwest convening of the “Artist as Problem Solver” summit to be held at Bader Philanthropies, Inc. on March 26 and 27.

This interactive, convening is *free* and open to artists, cultural workers, arts and community organization administrators and stewards, arts educators, small business owners/entrepreneurs, local government staff, planners, economic development strategists, funders, researchers, and other stakeholders working in or interested in Milwaukee, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Minn.-St. Paul or elsewhere in the Great Lakes region. Packed with field and active practice examples, the summit is limited to 100 registrants. Please feel free to forward this invitation to others who may be interested.

THURSDAY, MARCH 26, 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm Optional Tour: Understanding Milwaukee’s Cultural Landscape -- This mobile tour of MKE's contemporary arts and community placemaking/placekeeping institutions, landmarks and initiatives is intended to provide context for those coming to the summit from other cities. Post-Summit Activities--

If you don't have a plane or train or automobile to catch immediately, plan on spending some wind-down time with us on Friday evening at No Studios, filmmaker John Ridley's collaborative work space and social community in downtown Milwaukee that offers an environment for artists and art lovers to come together. Stay posted for details.

Stay in Milwaukee overnight to take part in the "TRUE Skool Experience" on Saturday. Take part in this immersive introduction to the arts learning and leadership development curriculum and practices developed by this award winning youth-serving and centered Milwaukee arts organization. Also, there may be opportunities for one-on-one consultations on Saturday with national arts experts about developing or funding for your program, project or venue. More information forthcoming.
