TRUE Skool kept busy this summer with events, classes, mural projects and more!

• TRUE Skool held classes at 4 host sites this summer:
  • Project Excel-Breakdancing 101 on Wednesdays from 12noon-2pm w/Bboy Mijo
  • Sallie & Don Davis Boys & Girls Club-The Art of MCing w/DJ MadHatter
  • Marshall CLC Boys & Girls Club-The Art of MCing w/TRUTH
  • LaVarnway Boys & Girls Club-TRUE Kulture w/BBoy Mijo

  Students from the Art of MC classes wrote and recorded original songs throughout the summer. Once the songs are mastered we will take the students on WMSE 91.7 "Mad Kids" Radio show with hosts DJ Kid Cut Up and DJ MadHatter who will interview the students and play their songs live on the radio! Check back for specific dates so you can tune in and listen live!

• TRUE Skool held it's 4th Annual Block Party & GRAFFOLOGY event July 19th. Visit our GRAFFOLOGY08 page for pictures and details.
  
• TRUE Skool completed over 10 murals/canvasses this summer. Visit our COMMUNITY MURAL PROJECTS page for pictures and details.
  
• TRUE Skool youth participants painted 2 backdrops for the MLK Talent Show on August 9th at the MLK Center. Check back soon for pictures of the completed canvasses.
